Welcome to ICGS 2025
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd International Conference on Green Sciences (ICGS), which will be held in Port Said on December 3–4, 2025, and hosted by the Faculty of Science, University of Port Said, under the auspices of Port Said University.
The ICGS 2025 will feature multiple sessions covering diverse topics across the basic sciences. The conference aims to showcase the latest developments in each field and provide a forum for discussions, networking, and knowledge exchange. It will also highlight the challenges and future trends in scientific disciplines, applied technologies, and their environmental impacts.
The conference will bring together academia and industry to translate innovative technologies into real-world applications across a wide range of fields, including chemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, botany, geology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, marine biology, and environmental sciences.
Beyond its scientific program, the event offers participants the opportunity to explore Port Said, a historic city on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Egypt at the crossroads of Africa and Asia. Founded in 1859 with the commencement of the Suez Canal excavation, Port Said is known for its unique architecture and cultural heritage.
The city is also a convenient gateway to Egypt’s major attractions. Cairo, including its international airport, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the Pyramids of Giza, can be reached within three hours by car. Alexandria is similarly accessible in about three hours, while domestic flights from Cairo provide easy access to Upper Egypt and the treasures of ancient Egyptian civilization.

- Strengthening the linkage between fundamental sciences and sustainable development, in alignment with the United Nations Climate Change Conferences and support of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
- Promoting scientific integration across various disciplines within universities and research centers to achieve sustainability and development goals.
- Enhancing collaboration between scientific communities and industrial sectors, including consultancy firms, to support sustainable development plans.
- Encouraging researchers to present and discuss their scientific findings at various conferences, thereby contributing to solutions for growing environmental challenges.
- Promoting environmentally friendly products and leveraging specialized environmental consultancy services through the exhibition held alongside the conference.
